I am a Designer and Metalsmith, passionate about all things metal. Using recycled gold and silver, I create metal jewelry with an organic sensibility, then add rough gemstones to accent the metalwork. My techniques include traditional bench fabrication, wax carving for the lost-wax casting process and gem setting. I also like to experiment with different materials and techniques, so occasionally you will see listings for PMC (Precious Metal Clay) pieces, acid etched metals, torch-fired enamels, Keum-Boo process overlays, granulation and other metals techniques.

I started my professional career as a graphic designer and art director in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after receiving my degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design from LSU. Along the path to that degree, I took an elective class that ignited a passion for jewelry making and small sculpture, and wound up with a minor in sculpture and metalsmithing. I am continuing my jewelry education by currently pursuing a Graduate Gemology degree with the Gemological Institute of America.

After moving to Dallas, Texas for a position at a prominent ad agency, I only did the occasional jewelry piece here and there for friends, family and acquaintances. Everyone I knew encouraged me to go for it, full-time. When a few of my freelance design jobs actually became commissioned pieces of jewelry or small sculptures for corporate clients, I knew I had to make the transition from a digital design life to that of a hand-crafty, analog metalsmith. I have found that the graphic design production process complements the metals design process perfectly, and working in metals and sculpture helps with 3D packaging design and visualizing all probabilities within a given project.
